Imagine the confidence of an aspiring
female contestant on a music reality television show to have 'called
out' one of the male judges in her rendition!
Nigerian music
judge, Dare Art Alade, was invited by a female contestant, Esther, on a
challenge after rending her version of the song, 'A Long Walk' by Jill
Scot. She was recalled back on the show on a 'Wild Card' chance. At
the end of her rendition, she had lyrically infused Dare's name into
the song which had the other two judges, Yinka Davies and Dede Mabiakwu,
spell bound.
Dare was asked by the show's compere, Ill Rymz, if he would respond to the challenge but the artiste decided to play along with the contestant in smiles and a cool and encouraging encouragement.
The audience were not left out in expressing their support for the contestant.
