Since the arrest and ongoing persecution of Famous Radio Biafra host and leader of Indigenous people of Biafra, uncountless IPOB members has been secretly arrested and some killed.
The arrest of Mazi Chidiebere Onwudiwe by nigeria DSS police in a commodore style by 2:30am on June 22nd,2016 is questionable. Chidiebere Onwudiwe is the National coordinator of IPOB in nigeria and until date he has not been charged to court nor set free by the nigeria DSS.
IPOB publicity secretary, Mazi Clifford Ironaya cites section 35(4a) of nigeria constitution, the maximum detention period is 2 months, also according to part 30, section 293 and section 296 of ACJA -2015, the maximum lenght of detention without trial is 42days, therefore, he urge nigeria DSS and President Muhammadu Buhari to release Mazi Chidiebere Onwudiwe unconditionally owing that they (FG) has no case aganist the with held suspect.
