This is the horrifying moment two of the world's deadliest spiders, a funnel web and a red back locked in battle while an Australian man films the encounter.
The bigger of the two, the funnel web, got immersed in a web and struggled to break free then the red back, also known as a black widow, unleashed fatal strikes on the funnel web who then appeared to be motionless..
The fangs of a funnel web are so strong that they can penetrate shoe leather and their venom is fast acting while the red back delivers a lethal injection of venom which causes its sufferers to have an erection for four hours.
