Photos: Lagos Police Chief Releases Female Plantain Thief And Gave Her N10K

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP, Fatai Owoseni, Monday ordered the release of a woman and her baby arrested for allegedly stealing plantain.
The lady, identified as Iya Ope was said to have confessed during interrogation that she was pushed into stealing the plantain in Agbowa Market, Epe, because she and her baby were hungry. During an unscheduled visit to Agbowa Police Station where the lady was detained, the CP ordered her release.

He gave the lady N10, 000 and warned her never to repeat the act again.
